We welcome groups out to the farm year-round for an AG-VENTURE full of fun, educational experiences, and the beautiful outdoors. There are two field trips options to choose from: Premium Field Trips and Basic Field Trips (both described in detail below!)

PREMIUM FALL FIELD TRIPS
Hubb’s Farm Premium Fall Field Trips combine a well-organized fall farm visit with additional educational programming and advance coordination. Backed by nearly 20 years of experience working with schools, these field trips are designed to help students learn, explore, and make the most of their day on the farm.

Premium Fall Field Trips are $17.95 to $18.95 per participating student, depending on the guided educational experience selected.

Pumpkin Power, Show Me the Bacon, and Farm Science Challenge are $17.95 per participating student.

Gem Dandy is $18.95 per participating student and includes a hands-on gem-mining experience.

Premium Fall Field Trips include two important features beyond the activities included with a Basic Fall Field Trip:

A guided agricultural learning experience selected by the school
-
Additional advance planning and support from our Field Trip Coordinator, who works primarily with Premium Field Trip groups

Our Field Trip Coordinator oversees the schools participating in Premium Fall Field Trips and works in advance to prepare for their visits.
This additional coordination includes:

Reviewing each school’s arrival time, group size, student ages, lunch plans, selected educational experience, and expected departure time
-
Planning how the group can best use its time on the farm
-
Coordinating the guided learning experience with the school’s overall visit
-
Briefing farm staff before the school arrives
-
Making sure staff members know which schools are participating in Premium Field Trips and are prepared to assist them
-
Helping Premium Field Trip groups get the most from their educational experience and their time at Hubb’s Farm

Each Premium Fall Field Trip includes one guided agricultural learning experience selected by the school:

Pumpkin Power – Students learn about the pumpkin life cycle, how pumpkins grow, and the role pumpkins play in agriculture. Each participating student receives a pumpkin to take home.

Gem Dandy – Students explore rocks, minerals, and earth science through a hands-on gem-mining experience.

Show Me the Bacon – Students learn about pigs, swine production, animal care, and the importance of the pork industry.

Farm Science Challenge – Students participate in hands-on activities that connect agriculture with science, observation, and problem-solving.
Premium Fall Field Trips are available for Pre-K through 12th-grade school groups seeking a hands-on agricultural learning experience in Eastern North Carolina.

Dive into a tailored Farm Experience designed for the older crowd and adult groups for additional $5 and up (depending on the tour desired). Give us a call for the exciting details!
All about the bacon - pork industry educational tour
Join an agricultural discussion on the pork industry's importance, processes, and economic impact in North Carolina, the country, and globally. Visit the repurposed hog house, lagoon, and more, and receive a Hubb's Farm String Bag for an additional $5.
BASIC FALL FIELD TRIPS
Hubb’s Farm Basic Fall Field Trips offer schools a flexible, lower-cost way to enjoy a fall farm visit. This self-guided option is designed for groups that want to explore the farm together at their own pace without adding a guided educational program or the additional advance planning included with a Premium Fall Field Trip.

Basic Fall Field Trips are $15.95 per participating student.

A self-guided visit to Hubb’s Farm

Access to the fall attractions and activities available to school groups on the day of the visit

Opportunities to visit the farm animals, enjoy the wagon ride, explore the corn maze, and experience available play areas

A scheduled arrival time to help the farm manage traffic and group check-in
-
A typical visit of approximately 3–4 hours, with flexibility based on the school’s schedule

Farm staff stationed throughout the property to operate activities, provide directions, answer questions, and assist groups as needed

Established procedures for group arrival, lunch, and departure

Basic Fall Field Trips do not include:

A guided agricultural learning experience

Additional advance planning with the Field Trip Coordinator

A visit plan organized by the Field Trip Coordinator to help the group get the most from its educational programming and time on the farm

Basic Fall Field Trips are a good choice for schools that prefer a relaxed, self-guided day of fall fun while still benefiting from Hubb’s Farm’s established group procedures, on-farm staff, and nearly 20 years of experience welcoming school groups.
