Hubb’s Farm Foundation
Hubb’s Farm Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation organized and operated specifically to promote agricultural awareness and sustain family farmland. Agriculture awareness will be promoted through education, including developing and distributing agriculturally based educational materials. The purpose will be achieved by conducting the following activities:
- Promoting agriculture through educational field trips on the farm.
- Distribution of materials and/or scholarships to area students and/or teachers.
- Offering educational classes for all ages.
- Expansion to include nature walks through a trail in the woods and aquatic education.
- Offering scholarships to students who plan to further their education in agriculture or other trade careers.
The Peterson Family open the agritourism activities at Hubb’s Farm in 2008. Hubb’s Farm has continued to grow to be a destination for families and school groups. The Peterson Family created Hubb’s Farm Foundation, Inc. in 2019 as a way to continue to give back in a broader way than just opening the farm. The pandemic hindered the goals that Hubb’s Farm Foundation had in 2020 and 2021. It is our goal that Hubb’s Farm Foundation, Inc. will be in a position, post pandemic, to expedite projects that will serve to increase the awareness in agriculture, while preserving family farmland.
A portion of the proceeds from Hubb’s Farm educational field trips goes to Hubb’s Farm Foundation, Inc.
