When we say Crops of Fun, we mean it! Hubb’s Farm boasts dozens of attractions for all ages and interests. Whether you want to meet the farm animals, see who can make it down the giant double-barrel slide first, or see what riches you can discover at Paydirt Pete’s Treasure Mine, you’ll find hours and hours of family entertainment here.
Hubb’s Farm holds various events throughout the year, and depending on the season, weather and event theme some attractions may not be available at each event. Scroll to view our various attractions!

Cranky the Combine
Cranky, our signature ride, is one of a kind – and isn’t “cranky” at all. In fact, guests of all ages love riding atop Cranky for a bird’s-eye view of the farm. Modeled after “Franky,” his “cousin combine” from Stade’s Farm in McHenry, Illinois, Cranky put in many years of service harvesting corn before retiring to Hubb’s as a “professional entertainer.” Seeing that he still had plenty of life left, Hubb’s owners John and Tammy Peterson directed his restoration into a much-loved attraction for farm visitors. He’ll delight adults and children alike, but please remember that he’s retired and likes to turn in early, so he operates only during daylight hours.

The Barrel Train
Hubb’s Farm’s colorful barrel train is fast, but not furious. The highlight of many visiting children, it is a fast-moving, but very safe, trackless train that prompts many a return visit – both for the thrill of the ride and another chance to interact with our fun-loving engineer, Rex. The barrel train is great for all ages: Our rule of thumb is, “If you can fit in it, you can ride in it!”

Steer Roping
Steer roping may sound daunting, but worry not – at Hubb’s Farm, it’s perfectly safe. Children and adults can hone their skills on wood-framed practice steers. Practice makes perfect, so the next time you find yourself needing to round up steer, you’ll be ready!

Mini Bale Maze
Our mini bale maze is easy enough for adults but offers a challenge for our younger visitors, encouraging toddlers and up to maneuver in and around hay bales from beginning to end. Covering an area approximately 20-by-20-feet, this fun farm activity is especially well-suited for preschool and elementary school-aged children.

Giant Sandbox
Kids will dig our huge sandbox! Filled with toy tractors, trucks, claw diggers and more, the expanse of play area is the perfect spot for exploring the texture of sand and indulging in sensory and imaginary fun and learning.

Pumpkin Patch/Luke’s Field of Pumpkins
Don’t miss the Pumpkin Patch during your fall visit to Hubb’s Farm. Take a tractor-drawn hayride to pick your very own pumpkin from the vine! You may also purchase pre-picked pumpkins at our Field of Pumpkins.

Wild Horse Roundup
“Giddyup” over to this family friendly game of hula hoop tossing. Adults can watch or join in the fun.

Fire Pits
The ultimate in relaxation ambience, our fire pits offer all ages a chance to enjoy some downtime, share stories and enjoy s’mores. S’mores kits may be purchased on-site, and fire pits may be reserved in advance and will be ready and roaring upon your arrival.

Hubb’s Big Chair
This unique photo opportunity is a favorite of farm guests. Get your picture taken in this brightly painted giant chair. Hubb’s Farm staff will be happy to assist if you would like a group photo!

Bunnyville
Located at Animal Acres, Bunnyville is full of lovable, furry rabbits. Hop on down and visit these curious creatures, and be sure to take lots of photos!

Mega Apple Canons
Sure to be fun for the whole family. 2 canons were added in 2022 and a 3rd one will be added in 2023. Hubb’s Farm improves the targets each year. This is an add-on attraction, it is not included in the general admission.
Paydirt Pete’s Treasure Mine
Our mining sluice was designed by Hubb’s owners John and Tammy Peterson and was hand-built from an old livestock feeder and feed troughs. The name honors John Peterson’s father, John William “Pete” Peterson, Jr., who worked for Carolina Power and Light Company for 42 years (notice the lightning bolt on Paydirt Pete’s bandana in the treasure mine’s logo). Guests select their mining “rough” and pour it into a sluice box, sift and shake, and let the water wash away the dirt to reveal their treasure. After discovering gems, fossils or arrowheads, visitors receive an identification card to describe what they found, and both ID card and treasures are theirs to keep.

Human Foosball
YOU become the player in this supersized version of a foosball table! Choose your teammates, grab on, and kick away to see which team racks up 11 points first. This is a popular team-building activity for corporate retreats, collegiate events and other group outings.

Tire Mountain
At Hubb’s Tire Mountain, large farm tractor tires retired from long field hours are waiting for the younger generation to climb up and have some fun. Kids love crawling up, and parents won’t want to miss the excellent photo opportunity while they’re perched on top!

Double-Barrel Giant Slide
Grab a friend, choose a feed sack to sit on, and climb the staircase for a fast-moving challenge! Ready, set, and race down our two-story double-barrel slide to see who gets to the ground first for bragging rights. The giant slide is recommended for ages 5 and up, but parents may slide with younger children.

Giant Jump Pillow
Jump with abandon on our giant jump pillow! Jump, then jump and jump some more on a surface area measuring 38-by-68-feet. It’s not only fantastic fun for all ages, but it’s great exercise, too!

Shark Tooth Dig
Children love this giant pile of sand filled with shark teeth. Search and keep! Fun fact: Many years ago, shark teeth were discovered on a farm in Sampson County near Faison, NC.

Hayride
A great hayride is a “must do” at any fall festival, and Hubb’s tractor-drawn hayride will surely fit the bill. Riders enjoy a leisurely trip around the corn maze and past Animal Acres. Along the way, be sure to read the NC Fun and Interesting Facts posted around the outside of the maze. Enjoy music along the way, and feel free to sing along!

Toddler Town
Toddler Town is a Hubb’s Farm favorite. This wooden-fenced play area is “playhouse central,” offering younger children the perfect setting for their growing minds and adventurous spirits.

Farm Cutouts
Say cheese! Our fun farm cutouts make perfect keepsake photos. Simply step up, place your smiling face into the opening and snap away! Our staff will gladly assist with group pictures.

Picnic Pavilion
Our large, 45-by-60-foot picnic shelter is a perfect place to host birthday parties, corporate outings, field trips, dinners and just about any group event. With huge ceiling fans, the atmosphere is comfortable even in summer. Call us make your reservation!

Ball Toss
NEW! Our Tin Roof Rally Ball Toss! Players will step right up and take their best shot at this athletic trifecta — baseball, football and basketball. Did you know that North Carolina’s native pro baseball player Catfish Hunter grew up on a farm? After all, where else does one develop an outstanding work ethic, excellent motor skills and overall body strength all while performing chores? The Tin Roof Rally Ball Toss is perfect for ages pre-school to adult. So give it your best shot, and remember that practice makes perfect!

First in Flight Mini-Zipline
Zip through the air 100 feet in 12 seconds – the same amount of time the Wright Brothers stayed aloft during their first attempt to fly. You’ll start from about 10 feet up and land safely on the ground. Due to safety restrictions, this attraction is limited to participants weighing 200 pounds or less.

Giant Checkers
We’re big on fun at Hubb’s, so get into the action with our huge checker board. Unlike the stationary table-top version, players will bend, lift, walk and bend again to place their game pieces in this large game of strategy. Enjoy a king-sized challenge with family and friends!

Rope Mountain
Based on the popular child’s game, “King of the Hill,” Hubb’s Rope Mountain is a guaranteed hit for school-aged kids and older. A large mound of dirt is outfitted with a towering post with knotted ropes for climbing. Our young guests love racing each other to the top. We have two rope mountain attractions, recommended for ages 5 and up.

Cornhole
Cornhole – or more descriptively, “soft horseshoes” – will provide loads of family fun on the farm. Take turns pitching the corn-filled bean bags into the hole for the win! Play singles, doubles, or gather a large group. Cornhole is fun for family, friends, corporate events, private parties and more.

Giant Jump Pad
A calmer version of the Jump Pillow, this jumping platform measures 30 by 50 feet so that more guests can jump at once. Adults, feel free to hop on with the children and join in the fun!

Hubb’s Express Train
Climb aboard this beautifully painted 50-passenger trackless train and make some memories! Guests love its old-fashioned design and spacious cars. Hubb’s Express operates during daylight hours and is great for all ages, especially larger group outings.

Hubb’s Dixie Chicks Singing Chicken Show
Children will love to listen and sing along to the famous Hubb’s Dixie Chicks. In fact, loud, spirited singing is encouraged! Old-time favorites such as “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” will fill the air, and these animated singing hens will even tell a few jokes.

Animal Acres
Don’t miss your chance to visit with miniature horses, chickens, goats, rabbits, sheep, donkeys, alpacas and more! Children and adults alike love feeding the animals and learning more about them. See the attendant to purchase feed and make fast friends with these wonderful creatures.

Live Entertainment (As Scheduled)
Hubb’s Farm often hosts local entertainers during our fall festival, including bluegrass bands, gospel groups, country-soft rock bands, magicians, dance ensembles and more. Live entertainment, when scheduled, is included in your Hubb’s Farm admission price.
Super Ginormous Sampson Slide
Experience the thrill of Hubb’s Farm Super Ginormous Sampson Slide. This slide was introduced in 2022 and it the height of 2 cargo containers. Race you friends and family to the bottom and then do it again. A thrill for ALL AGES!
