Fall Festival & Corn Maze

Hubb’s Corn Maze covers more than 10 acres and includes several separate mazes of varying skill levels. Each maze has its own interactive scavenger hunt within. Mazes are excellent interactive activities sure to challenge even the best navigators and provide great fun for all.

Although the maze is a favorite destination for Hubb’s Farm guests, we also have more than 20 additional activities that all ages can enjoy. Check out our themed weekend events, packed with fun for the entire family!

Themed Weekend Events

“Field of Dreams” Maze Theme Celebration

September 15 and 16 – Opening Weekend

Saturday, noon-7 p.m., with airplane ping-pong drop at 3 p.m.; Sunday, 1-6 p.m.
Teachers get $13 pass free (appropriate ID required); teacher’s family will receive $2 off their passes

This year’s maze design features baseball! Three challenging baseball-themed trails over 10 acres will test even the most skilled batter, so get ready for an a-maze-ing adventure. Speaking of baseball, famed slugger Babe Ruth hit his first home run right down the road from us in Fayetteville, NC.

Hay Bales and Hoofs Festival

September 22 and 23

Saturday, Noon-7 p.m.; Sunday, 1-6 p .m.

Join in the fun with tractor-pulled hayrides, a miniature hay bale maze, and a chance at fun challenges such as finding a “needle in a haystack”! Our Second Annual Hay Bale Decorating Contest will feature groups competing for prize money and farm passes by decorating bales that will remain on the farm all season long for visitors to view. And let’s not forget the hoofs — Enter our first Stick Pony “Rodeo” Fun Challenge at 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday!

First Responders Weekend

September 29 and 30

Saturday, Noon-7 p.m.; Sunday, 1-6 p.m.
First Responders get $13 pass free (appropriate ID required); family members get $2 off

Our First Responders Weekend honors those hometown heroes who often risk their lives to save others. Stop by and offer a “thank you” to these special guests. Sampson County law enforcement, NC Highway Patrol, NC Forestry Service and Herring Fire Department will be among the agencies on site.

On Saturday, the Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at the farm for blood donations from noon to 5 p.m. Blood donors will receive a free corn maze pass. Donors may register at the farm or pre-register at www.savingliveslocally.org.

“Thank a Farmer” Ag Weekend

October 5-7

Friday, 6-10 p.m.; Saturday, Noon-10 p.m.; Sunday, 1-6 p.m.
Wear overalls and get $1 off admission

Going to the grocery store is easy, so we may not always think about the hard work that goes into growing our food. “Thank a Farmer” Ag Weekend is all about appreciating those who accept the responsibility of working the land and producing food for the world. Experience a bit of the farm life and see tractor displays from Sampson County’s Antique Tractor Club on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.

Our Little Miss Pumpkin Princess Pageant will be held Saturday, Oct. 6 at 4 p.m., followed by the Farmer Boy Overalls Pageant. Join in the fun!

Pirate Invasion Weekend

October 12-14

Friday, 6-10 p.m.; Saturday, Noon-10 p.m.; Sunday, 1-6 p.m.
Dress like a pirate and receive $1 off admission

Aye, matey! This year marks the 300th anniversary of Blackbeard’s reign, and the notorious pirate made his home in Bath, NC, while not busy terrorizing the high seas. We’ll  have The Cannon Crew, living history pirate reenactors, at the farm with an encampment and cannon demonstrations sure to intrigue children and adults alike.

Freedom USA Weekend

October 19-21

Friday, 6-10 p.m.; Saturday, Noon-10 p.m.; Sunday, 1-6 p.m.
Military get $13 pass free with ID (appropriate ID required); family $2 off

Join us as we salute the courageous veterans, military and military families who sacrifice daily to keep us safe and free. Visit with the Sampson County Veteran’s Office at the farm Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.

Celebrate Halloween at Hubb’s

October 26-28

Friday, 6-10 p.m.; Saturday, Noon-10 p.m., with airplane ping-pong drop at 3 p.m.; Sunday, 6-10 p.m.

From the littlest goblins to the oldest, everyone will love Halloween at Hubb’s! Ages 10 and under may register for the Halloween Costume Contest from noon to 3:30 Saturday; contest begins at 4. Also on Saturday, Power’s Flying Services will thrill spectators with a ping-pong ball drop at 3 p.m., with ages 12 and under eligible to collect the balls and hope to win a prize! Tricks and treats will be available on the farm from 1 to 5 p.m.

At sunset Friday and Saturday, children 12 and under may board the Oz Express, with the last ride at 8:30 p.m. And while you’re here, don’t miss the chance to get lost in the “past dark” flashlight maze!

Sam the Magic Man will entertain with an interactive magic show Sunday at 3 p.m.

Tough as a Farmer Weekend

November 3 and 4

Saturday, Noon-7 p.m., with TAAF Competition; Sunday, 1-6 p.m.

So you think you’re tough… but are you as tough as a farmer? Join Hubb’s for our 4th Annual Tough as a Farmer Competition Saturday, Nov. 3. Once you’ve completed this agriculture-themed farm Ninja warrior challenge, you’ll know just how tough a farmer must be. Competition will begin at 2 with female contestants and the men’s competition will follow. Registration will begin online Sept. 15; fee is $35 through Oct. 31, and $40 after Oct. 31. Registration includes Tough as a Farmer T-shirt, competition, and a Silver Pass.

First- and second-place winners in the men’s and women’s divisions will win a prize First place is $500, and second place is $250. Rain date is Sunday, Nov. 4.

As fall comes to an end, we’re going out with a SMASH! On Sunday, Nov. 4, Hubb’s guests will have the opportunity to smash pumpkins while supplies last. Open from 1-6, so get here early!

Fire Pit Pricing

$35/2 hours (includes firewood and one table)

  • Fire is lit and ready to go
  • 6-foot picnic table at each pit
  • Guided Snipe Quest for kids available for an additional fee; inquire at time of reservation. Snipe Quest lasts 15-30 minutes, depending on group size; minimum of $25, or $3 per participant.

Additional Information

  • Bring pop-up chairs for sitting
  • You may bring your own food (no alcohol allowed)
  • S’mores supplies and roasting sticks available for purchase at the farm store
  • For the safety of our guests, we will light the fire and control its size and the amount of wood that is placed in each fire pit.
